Reinhart Laumer

Reinhart Laumer

President and CEO

Reinhart, a software development pioneer since 1969 and IT entrepreneur since 1977, founded Intercope in 1982 in Hamburg, Germany and has been leading the company successfully for more than 30 years. Reinhart is Intercope’s major shareholder and takes his strategic decisions in close cooperation with his management team. He has polyglot communication skills and maintains close contacts with major customers and partners around the world. Within the SWIFT community, he is well known for having attended all SIBOS events since 1985.

Frank Kollender    

CFO and Managing Director

Frank and his team handle all aspects of financial management and administration within Intercope. Frank is actively involved in strategic company decisions and the primary partner of our customers for all contractual matters. Frank, banker and certified business economist, joined Intercope in 1990. Prior to this, he has been working with Vereins-und Westbank in Hamburg, Germany.

Olaf Grossler    

Head of Implementation & Support

Olaf is responsible for the customization and implementation of BOX Messaging Hub and MessagePlus/Open. Olaf and his team work in close cooperation with our customers and support them by remote assistance and onsite attendance as required. Before being appointed to his current position, the graduated computer scientist worked as a key developer of Box Messaging Hub and MessagePlus/Open with Intercope since 1993.

Jens Huser    

Head of Development

Jens is responsible for the core development of Box Messaging Hub and MessagePlus/Open. He is personally involved in all major architecture and design decisions, leads a team of some 15 highly motivated software professionals and has a strong focus on all aspects of quality management in the development process. Jens, graduated physicist, joined Intercope in 1990 and since has been involved in all major software development projects of the company.

Head of Sales & Marketing

Daragh and his team lead the go-to-market and sales execution for Intercope – presenting the value of Intercope solutions, interacting with customers, business partners and representing Intercope at industry, customer and vendor events. Daragh has over 20 years’ experience in working with banks, market infrastructures and technology companies to source and provide the right solution for payments and financial messaging. Before Intercope, Daragh was the sales and solution leader for IBM’s payments products in Europe. Previously, Daragh was an IT Architect/Consultant working at IBM, Credit Suisse, RBS, and Dell Computers. Daragh has a degree in Finance & Economics and postgraduate qualifications in Computer Science and Corporate Treasury.

    Where we are today

    More than 30 of the top 100 financial institutions use BOX. This covers over a thousand BICs worldwide in various deployment options (on premise, via service provider or as a cloud service). Over 50 replacement projects have been successfully completed for SWIFT legacy systems.

  • 2022

    First BOX customer in production on the cloud

    First cloud production customer, a large UK Fintech, goes live on BOX in the cloud for SEPA Instant Payments and SEPA STEP2.

  • 2021

    ISO 20022 transformations added to BOX

    BOX begins ISO 20022 migrations for a number of large global banks. This added ISO 20022 MT – MX – MT message transformations to BOX for the key global market infrastructures; CBPR+, TARGET2, CHAPS, CHIPS, FEDWIRE, MEPS, etc.

  • 2019

    ISO27001 certification

    Certification received without any nonconformities in December 2019.

  • 2018

    Instant Payments Infrastructure

    BOX supports EBA CLEARING RT1 and ECB TIPS. Supported networks and protocols include EBICS, SIANet and SWIFTNET.

  • 2017

    Fully SWIFT CSP compliant & gpi conform

    BOX is the first complete SWIFT interface to be fully compliant with the SWIFT CSP. BOX has implemented the necessary extensions for gpi and has been part of the initial pilot program.

  • 2016

    Instant Payments Infrastructure

    BOX has been extended to the specific requirements of Instant Payments for messaging intelligence such as Active / Active for continuous operation with
    customer’s choice of high-availability and providing multi-network and multi-CSM connectivity for emergency switching and load balancing.

  • 2013

    BOX Messaging Hub

    Enhanced solution enables customers to simultaneously support multiple financial networks beyond SWIFTNet. Connectivity to SIPS such as STEP2 via EBICS, SIANet, and SWIFTNet and to T2S, both via SIANet and SWIFTNet

  • 2011

    First BOX User Forum in Vienna

    The annual event has evolved into the not to be missed event for customers, industry experts and partners to jointly agree on the development roadmap for BOX.

  • 2005

    BOX for SWIFTNet

    New functionalities included back office integration, a user interface, manual message processing functions, routing and print services. In addition, BOX included an RMA application.

    MessagePlus/Open (MPO)

    A generic message processing engine, capable of handling any type of content – in a very flexible way, providing extensive multi-client capabilities for service providers and multiple network connectivity, ready for the future.
