BOX User Forum 2026: Bringing the BOX Community Together
From 11–13 May 2026, more than 100 customers, partners, and industry experts gathered at Burg Hemmersbach in Germany for the annual BOX User Forum 2026. In addition to the strong onsite attendance, the event was live streamed, enabling members of the global BOX community to participate remotely and engage with the latest industry developments, customer projects, and product innovations. The forum once again demonstrated the strength of the BOX ecosystem, providing a unique platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
Over three days, attendees explored the key trends and challenges shaping the future of payments and financial messaging. The agenda featured a diverse range of presentations, customer case studies, expert panels, and interactive discussions covering topics such as API connectivity, artificial intelligence, ISO 20022 adoption, cloud technologies, fraud detection, and operational resilience.
The event opened with industry insights into CBPR+ and HVPS developments, followed by customer-led sessions from organisations including Danske Bank and B
arclays. Participants also gained valuable perspectives on emerging payment technologies, the evolution of payment chatbots, and the future direction of the BOX user experience.
A major highlight of the forum was the presentation of the BOX Development Roadmap, offering customers and partners an overview of upcoming enhancements and strategic priorities. Additional sessions focused on EBICS 4.0, ISO schemes, REST API services, container-based BOX management, and the latest advancements in BOX monitoring and housekeeping capabilities.
Artificial intelligence was a recurring theme throughout the event. Discussions explored the growing role of AI and Agentic AI in payments and messaging, while dedicated sessions examined fraud pattern and anomaly detection, AI touchpoints, and the opportunities that intelligent automation can bring to financial institutions.
One of the most engaging parts of the forum was the breakout programme, where attendees joined dedicated Technical and Business Forums. These sessions encouraged open discussion on topics including MT-MX transformations, APIs, digital assets and currencies, standards interoperability, and how organisations can maximise the value of their ISO 20022 investments.
Beyond the presentations and workshops, the BOX User Forum provided countless opportunities for networking and collaboration. Informal discussions, community activities, and social events helped strengthen relationships across the BOX community and fostered the exchange of practical experiences and best practices.
We would like to thank all speakers, customers, partners, and members of the BOX User Group for their contributions and active participation. Their expertise, insights, and engagement made BOX User Forum 2026 a resounding success.
We look forward to continuing these conversations and welcoming the community back for the next BOX User Forum.
