Strategic MERVA replacement solution at Finanz Informatik
“Since several years we have deployed BOX for SWIFTNet as user interface for non MERVA customers, but we have always seen the product also as our strategic MERVA replacement solution. Starting with Landesbank Berlin we are now implementing this strategy with all our MERVA users. With this solution we provide our customers a complete SWIFT solution covering all aspects of traditional FIN and XML based messages. In addition this strategy enables us to simplify our infrastructure and to significantly cut costs”.
Lutz Gläser, manager of the SWIFT Service Bureau of Finanz Informatik.
A successful migration of 24 banks in 9 countries with Erste Group – s IT Solutions
24 banks in 9 countries are live with the new solution which handles some 50,000 SWIFT messages per day. “With the migration to one unique BOX for SWIFTNet instance we can provide an excellent and cost efficient service level for our customers and are well prepared for new requirements such as processing and conversion of MX-messages”.
Andreas Görlich, Senior Operations Manager SWIFT with s IT Solutions.
Up to 90% cost saved with BOX for SWIFTNet at Citigroup
“For CITI there were several strong arguments to select BOX for SWIFTNet as strategic MERVA replacement solution. We could easily understand the clear migration path from MERVA to BOX. Also because of its architecture we have verified that BOX presents us with an easily understood and straight forward approach to the implementation of our extensive requirements. Another important aspect is that we can install the software on our preferred hardware platform but at the same time are not bound to Unix System Services under zOS. We estimate that the migration of our SWIFT solution to zLinux will save us up to 90 % of the MIPS cost.”
Mel Stricker, Vice President Global Treasury Systems, Citicorp
